ISTE Standards addressed

Empowered Learner: 1a: Students articulate and set personal learning goals, develop strategies leveraging technology to achieve them and reflect on the learning process itself to improve learning outcomes. New Google sites provides students with a platform to document their learning. Students can create a learning process site, which documents their steps in developing their skills. Students can also develop a mastery portfolio of their learning.

Creative Communicator: 7d: Students explore local and global issues and use collaborative technologies to work with others to investigate solutions. Students can use Google Sites as a framework or container of their collaborative work. New Google sites make it easier to work collaboratively in real time with other students locally and globally.
